April Fool's Day and Your Car's A/C

April 1 is April Fool's Day, but there is one thing you do not want to play tricks on you.

Your car's A/C.

There is nothing funny about climbing into your car on the first hot day of the year only to realize your A/C is blowing warm air. We see it every spring. Drivers wait until the temperature hits 90 degrees, then suddenly everyone needs A/C repair at the same time.

That is why our A/C service savings begin April 1.

From April 1 through June 30, Cherry Grove Automotive is offering:

  • $20 off 134a A/C service

  • $40 off 1234yf A/C service

  • Up to $150 off A/C repair

If your A/C is not blowing cold, your airflow feels weak, or your car takes forever to cool down, now is the time to get it checked! Make sure to mention this ad for the discount!

Next up! The North Myrtle Beach Farmers Market Returns April 3

The North Myrtle Beach Farmers Market returns on April 3, bringing fresh produce, baked goods, local vendors, and one of the first signs that spring has officially arrived. Some of our favorites are Home Sweet Farm and Tylers Flower farm, both located in Loris, SC.

If you are planning to spend your mornings browsing the market, make sure your car is ready for extra local driving. Spring weather changes can affect tire pressure, battery performance, and even your check engine light.

If you have noticed any of these issues, it may be time to have your vehicle checked:

  • Tire pressure light coming on

  • Slow starting battery

  • Uneven tire wear

  • Strange noises or warning lights

Tax Day, April 15

Nobody's favorite day, tax Day is April 15, which means many people are already dealing with enough stress.

The last thing you need is a dead battery, a check engine light, or your A/C stopping the same week.

If your refund is arriving this month, April can be a smart time to take care of overdue maintenance before summer arrives.

Common spring services include:

  • A/C repair in North Myrtle Beach

A common question we receive-

Many drivers ask, how often should I get a wheel alignment in North Myrtle Beach?

Most vehicles should have their alignment checked about once a year or every 12,000 to 15,000 miles, especially if you notice uneven tire wear or your vehicle pulling to one side.

SOS Spring Safari, April 17

We welcome all of the out-of-town visitors here for the SOS Spring Safari, that returns on April 17. The city of North Myrtle Beach is expecting about 12000 visitors for the 11 day event. Keep an eye out for more traffic in North Myrtle Beach.

With extra visitors and more stop and go driving, we often see an increase in brake wear, overheating concerns, and tire issues.

If your vehicle has been making noises, pulling to one side, or not stopping the way it should, it is worth having it checked before the crowds arrive.
